In loving memory of...Wyatt!
|
In an extremely sad turn of events, Cary informed us in December, 2002, that Wyatt had acquired a severe infection that quickly and seriously damaged his heart! Within a month, Wyatt went from a happy, heathy dog...to severely ill! Very sadly, the vets did all they could do for him. He came home and died in Cary's arms a short time later! Below is Wyatt's original posting from a few months earlier. You'll be missed very much Wyatt...but we know you had a much improved and happier life after being recued...and for that, we're happy for you!

This
is Wyatt! He was rescued from a abusive home. His owners were going thru a divorce and the husband abandoned him with the now, single mom. Wyatt was in his puppy stage and teething badly. He chewed the down spouts off the house, chewed the slide on the kids swing set and beat the yard down like a horse pen. The mom couldn't control him. He was also a runner and he wouldn't come back. The mom beat him with many things, like rakes! He was skinny and his coat was not taken care of. Since then, with only love, food and simple teachings, he has blossemed into a 99lb. beautiful dog! Wyatt quickly comes when called. Like any good shepherd, he knows he has an important job and he does his job well...he is protective of his family, especially over the kids. Wyatt's favorite things are walks in the woods...where he sniffs out prey. He loves to be brushed. And he loves FOOD!!! Cary Note! After a time of healing over Wyatt's loss, Cary and his family have now rescued two other Shepherds. Meet Bo and Roscoe. |
