In loving memory of...Jack!
|
Sweet Jack! One of the sweetest dogs around. And if not THE sweetest, surely the softest! Jack's background is unknown. He was found on the street and put up for adoption. But he was an older dog. Stacy Chesney wanted a dog to keep her company in her apartment...having grown up with a house full of dogs. Jack was an older dog and not what she'd envisioned. But Stacy didn't have the heart NOT to take him because he WAS older and she figured he'd be low on the adoption list. After meeting him, she couldn't bear the thought that he might not find a good home. So Stacy and Mark adopted Jack into their family. This perfect little gentleman immediately slipped deep into their hearts...as well as the hearts of all who met him. And Jack had it made in his wonderful, loving new home! But being older, he soon developed some problems. He was slow to walk, due to hip problems. A cyst in one ear caused damage that made his perky Eskie ears go a little off balance. And age also took away his sight and much of his hearing. But blindness didn't stop him. He quickly adapted to his new world and...although you could sometimes find him wagging at a street pole because he thought he was being introduced to a new "person"...he captured the heart of every "street pole"<smile> AND person he met. VERY sadly, after only a few years with his new family, cancer took this little sweetheart over the rainbow bridge on September 26, 2006. You are sadly missed by MANY, Jack! But ESPECIALLY by Stacy and Mark... Rest easy now...Happy Jack!
