Tell Chicago Aldermen to vote NO to the proposed ban on Pit Bulls in Chicago!

Banning dogs is no way to deal with dog crimes in Chicago or any city! Proof is now being realized that breed bans DO NOT WORK. But in the meantime...while politicans try to control our lives...innocent family pets are being annihilated! Will YOUR favorite breed be next? See how YOUR dog rates in temperment testing!

Worse! MANY other breeds are in trouble, too!
You may not worry if you don't own a PitBull...but these are NOT the only dogs who will be affected by this new Chicago dog law!

This new Chicago dog law, if passed, will not only ban any new Pit Bulls from legally being brought into the city (like it'll stop the criminals, right!), but it also puts numerous other dog breeds on a Dangerous Dog list. That means that owners of these dogs will have to purchase $100,000 in special Dangerous Dog insurance, must purchase a special Dangerous Dog license, and must put special Dangerous Dog signs on their property.

Beyond the main ban on PitBulls, I believe this list Dangerous Dog list includes...German Shepherds, Mastiffs, Chows, Huskies/Malamutes, Akitas, Doberman Pinschers, Great Danes, and Rottweilers.

How long do you think it'll be before these wonderful dogs are banned, too!

Ban the DEED, not the BREED!

PLEASE...click below to email the entire Chicago City Council and tell them you do NOT want dogs banned in the City of Chicago!

American Temperament Test Society, Inc.

W. Handel, German Police Dog Trainer, in his article, "The Psychological Basis of Temperament Testing," defines temperament as:

"the sum total of all inborn and acquired physical and mental traits and talents which determines, forms and regulates behavior in the environment"

The ATTS test focuses on and measures different aspects of temperament such as stability, shyness, aggressiveness, and friendliness as well as the dog's instinct for protectiveness towards its handler and/or self-preservation in the face of a threat. The test is designed for the betterment of all breeds of dogs and takes into consideration each breed's inherent tendencies.

See full ratings for 2004 (info below and at this Official link)
http://www.atts.org/statistics.html

Failure on any part of the test is recognized when a dog shows:

  • Unprovoked aggression
  • Panic without recovery
  • Strong avoidance

2004 by Rating

Note that a Pit Bull rates about the same score as a Golden Retriever!

Yellow indicates dogs some call dangerous.
